N&G Groundworks Ltd has been appointed as the nominated groundworks subcontractor for the development of Taunton School’s brand-new boarding facility, in partnership with CG Fry and Sons. This major construction project will deliver modern, state-of-the-art accommodation for Taunton School, and N&G Groundworks Ltd is proud to play a key role.

As part of the development project, to facilitate access to the site during construction, N&G Groundworks formed a new temporary entrance off Greenway Road and constructed a haul road. This vital infrastructure allows for the safe and efficient movement of trades, machinery, and deliveries throughout the duration of the project.

N&G’s site team have carried out a reduced level excavation to prepare the site. Excavated and poured concrete and undertook sub structure masonry up to DPC level.

Comprehensive drainage systems are to be installed as part of the project, including: Internal Drainage, Site-wide Drainage, Pond Attenuation and Off-Site Foul Sewer Attenuation.

As the project moves forward, the remaining works will include the diversion of essential services and the final stages of external landscaping finishes.
